Totally Geeked Out
Well, after 28 years of not a thing on my face, the time has come. I have glasses. As I suspected, I’m nearsighted, so this should help out quite a bit. In middle school, perhaps this would have mortified me. But now, I guess geek is chic, eh?

Welcome to the club my friend. Let me tell you how it was in high school for me… my print shop teacher used to mock me for squinting all the time, but I still refused to get glasses! The black frames are truly geeky, but hey that’s cool!
I think it’s a good look, and it gains you years of credibility.
Congrats.
Jeremiah, who wears glasses or contacts (but never both at the same time)
Welcome to the club! I was around the same age when years of staring at a computer screen took its toll. Now if you really want to be cool, you can get a pair of these contact lenses introduced by Nike this year:

I started wearing them this year for softball after never having worn contacts before. They freak people out when they first see them (I have the amber ones that make your eyes look red), but I can tell you that they work!
Not sure what I think about shoving things in my eyes yet… still getting used to something sitting there on my nose in front of my eyes.
But if I do ever need to freak anyone out, I know to revisit this.
I currently have two pairs of glasses – one for work and one for home. I splurged on the work pair and got anti-glare lenses. They seem to help out a lot with screen glare as well.
